Who We Are
Meet the Founders
Cindy Garcia, Miguel Angel Alvarado Medina, and Veronica Diaz are the founders behind Dreamers and Their Families Support Network.
We are not just advocates, we are part of this journey ourselves.
Each of us comes from a different stage of the immigration experience:
- Cindy Garcia is now a lawful permanent resident
- Veronica Diaz is a U.S. citizen
- Miguel Angel Alvarado Medina is a DACA recipient
Because of this, we understand the process from multiple perspectives the uncertainty, the challenges, and the importance of having the right guidance.
We built this community to provide the support, clarity, and real-life insight we once needed ourselves.

Dreamers and Their Families Support Network is a community built to uplift, educate, and empower Dreamers and immigrant families across the United States.
Founded from lived experience, we understand the immigration journey because we have lived it ourselves. We know the challenges, the uncertainty, and the need for guidance you can trust.
Through education, shared knowledge, and community support, we provide the tools and confidence individuals need to move forward with hope and dignity.
Our community, DACA Butterfly Dreamers, connects thousands of members who support one another by sharing experiences, resources, and encouragement.
Together, we provide educational guides, informational resources, and real support to help families better understand their options and stay informed.
We are more than a group, we are a community that stands together, lifts each other up, and creates opportunities for a better future.

Our Community in Action
DACA Butterfly Dreamers is the heart of our community — a growing Facebook group where members connect, learn, and support one another through every step of their immigration journey.
Led by Miguel Angel Alvarado Medina, and supported by Cindy Garcia and Veronica Diaz as administrators, our group provides real-time guidance, shared experiences, and a safe space for Dreamers and their families.
Our dedicated moderators —Marina Garcia, Valeria Castrejon-Rodriguez, Salvador Garcia, Damaris Escalera Lopez, and Zuly Dominguez — help ensure that information is shared responsibly and that every member feels supported.
Together, we have built a strong, active community where no one feels alone in the process.
